"What I learned in France today" is my way of remaining conscious of the everyday joys and difficulties of interactions, language barriers, new experiences and attempts to assimilate. Follow along...

Continue to enjoy hearing of your travels and experiences in France. Always nice to see photos of Irie and Lisa smiling and having a good time. Sounds like you are doing well too, Rick.
I don't recall your mentioning anything about the economy in France. Looks pretty grim here in the U.S. with the government buying up stock in banks so they don't fail. How are things there?
Ashland has moved into the fall mode and trees are turning beautiful colors as they always do.
We send our best.
Hi Ted and Ruth. Thanks for the kind words and update on home! Look for a post on current events, ie. the economy and politics soon. Yes, we already voted!
Weather here is fantastic!! Low 70's and sunny everyday. Still swimming in the Sea even. Irie is a little bummed she's going to miss an Ashland Halloween, but we'll be "barging" down the Canal du Midi which is lot more unique. She is doing really well in school now which is a relief!
Irie, you are beautiful! Love Nana
Irie, I think you got your good looks from Grandpa Bailey.
I would love to get one of Irie's school pictures, if you have an extra to send. -Missy
